Not sure what we were all worried about….. honest
Wonder if Bairstow will stay at 3- he did well yesterday and I think it helped bringing everyone forward in the batting order especially Brook

I agree. The balance seemed better.

Livi5 bowlers
It’s not an ODI, that top 6 should last the 20 overs.

I thought the balance was better too with Bairstow at 3. I’m not sure if Livingstone injury is serious or not but Jacks is a bit out of his depth to be honest.

Ireland lose 2 wickets in the first over - and now a third! 4-3.

Not at all, nobody can legislate for Pakistans ability to shoot themselves in both feet and arms.

Nepal did really well with the ball again but a bit lost when it came to the batting .
Shame for them .

Actually there are two games to go. One this afternoon and one overnight then that’s it. Super 8 starts on Wednesday with USA v South Africa

I think this was a missed opportunity for the Dutch to qualify as SL & Bangladesh are really poor sides. I think Afghanistan will be tricky to beat especially if they get a spinning pitch.

Mad format strikes again as Australia get no advantage for topping the group because everyone has preassigned Super 8 groups and they have India and that tricky Afghanistan team while England are treated to three very beatable teams in SA, WI and USA
If you look at the rankings 3 teams in the top 5 are in Group 5. Namely WI, England and South Africa. Two teams go through remember.
Australia were always going to get India. Had it gone as expected the groups would be
Australia
India
New Zealand
Sri LankaEngland
Pakistan
West Indies
South Africa1

Hard to feel too much sympathy for Nepal the way they’ve parachuted Lamichhane in after everything that’s gone on.

PNG are 47/5
However- some amazing figures from Lockie Ferguson- no runs conceded in his spell with 3 wickets- not seen that before in this format (reminds me of Brian Langford for you oldies )
4-4-0-3

Trent Boult retiring from T20 cricket after this game.
What a wonderful servant and player he has been for the Black Caps.
Not sure if he stills plays Test cricket.
