Cindy Lynn (Pate) Paul, 60, of Greentown, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at her home. She was born on May 16, 1964, in Winchester, IN. She grew up in the loving home of her mother Sandy and Roy Fisher. On August 8, 1981, she married Daryl W. Paul, in Carlos, IN, and he survives.

Cindy was a devout Christian. She liked to go nature hiking, observing all of God’s creatures. She supported various animal rescue charities.She loved to express her artistic talents by taking pictures, sewing, and painting.

Cindy is survived by her mother Sandy, her loving husband of 42 years, Daryl; children, Sara Marie Green and Zachary Vincent Paul; grandchildren, Sierra Lynn Paul, D’onte Green, Jade Green, Dominic Paul, Vena Paul, and Emberly Paul; brother David (Angie) Fisher, 2 nieces, and one nephew.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Roy.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Marion VA Medical Center - Chapel, located at 1700 East 38th Street, Marion, IN 46953. Burial will follow in Marion National Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the Marion VA Medical Center – Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research or Best Friends Animal Society. Nancy L. Allen, 87, Kokomo, passed away at 1:18 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born on May 31, 1937, to the late Edward and Florence (Dubuque) Scott. She married Robert L. Allen on January 15, 1953, and he survives.

Nancy graduated from Kokomo High School in 1955. She was very crafty and loved sewing. She enjoyed time spent in her yard with her flowers. Nancy was a loving wife and a wonderful mother. She took pride in her home and was a great cook.

Along with her husband Robert, she is survived by her daughter, Pam Carter; grandchildren, Craig Reed and Nicole (Barrett) Bates; great-grandchildren, Emma (Liam) Jagow, Tyler Reed, Parker Bates, and Madilyn Bates; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jim (Anna) Scott; sister, Luanne (Joe) Silence.

A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, 2097 W Alto Road, Kokomo. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kokomo Humane Society. Miriam L. Honeas

Miriam L. Honeas, 91, of Greentown, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Primrose Retirement Community of Kokomo. She was born on August 2, 1932, in Converse, IN, to the late Omen and Mildred (Miller) Graf. On October 9, 1953, Miriam married John Franklin Honeas, and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2018.

After graduating high school, Miriam went on to work as a Loan Officer for Union Bank. In her spare time, she loved to collect miniature shoes and Precious Moments dolls. Miriam enjoyed going to flea markets and attending her grandkids’ activities. She loved to sew, quilt, and play BINGO.

Miriam is survived by her children, Debbie (Jim) Pittman and Rex (Karen) Honeas; grandchildren, Lacy (Joseph) Alexander, Alisha Puller, Kristopher (Tristan) Honeas, Kyle (Amber) Honeas, Jr. Honeas, and Brady Honeas; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Bernard (Mary Jo) Graf; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents; son, Dale Honeas; and siblings, Donald Graf, Jack Graf, Bob Graf, Omen Jr. Graf, Wanda J. Graf.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Primrose and Compassus Hospice for their care and compassion during their time of need.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Hasler-Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown, IN 46936, with Pastor John Murdoch officiating. Patricia Nell Kuntz

Patricia Nell Kuntz, age 91, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at her home. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 21, 1932, to the late Paul L. and Mamie (Burnside) Newman. Patricia married Donald R. Kuntz on January 9, 1954, and he preceded her in death November 5, 2004.

Patricia graduated from Kokomo High School. She retired from Delco Electronics after 30 years. She was a member of the UAW #292. Patricia enjoyed painting, traveling, photography, gardening, tending to her flower beds, and relaxing on her front porch. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Katrina) Kuntz, Laura Beth Pitner, Kimberly Kuntz, and Donald "Sam" (Darlene) Kuntz; grandchildren, Sunshine (Tony) Slaughter, Crystal (Shane) Roe, Jacob (Sarah) Kuntz, Elizabeth (John Falkner) Kuntz, Lindsay Holz, Robert Holz, Kirsten Holz, Christopher Kuntz, Ty (Stacia) Kuntz, Bethany (Noah Ina) Kuntz, Xen Kelly, and Cyrus Kelly; several great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Theodore Newman; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding in death is her loving husband, Donald; her parents; brother, Gene Newman; and grandson, Matthew Kuntz.

There will be a time of visitation for Patricia on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary Main Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 13, at 10:00 AM, also at the mortuary. Pastor Kevin Marsh will be officiating. Burial will follow to Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's memory to Shriners Hospital for Children. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.

Patrick “Pat” Eugene Topolsky

Patrick “Pat” Eugene Topolsky, 70, of Kokomo, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Century Villa Health Care & Rehab. He was born in Parkersburg, WV, on May 2, 1954, the son of the late Alex and Ruth (Hansel) Topolsky. On March 29, 2012, he married Tammy (Zimmerman) Neal, his surviving wife.

Pat was a graduate of Parkersburg High School in West Virginia. He first attended Parkersburg Community College, then received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Anderson University in 1976. Pat was passionate about music! He played the piano at Calvary Community Church in Belpre, OH. Pat created, owned and operated his business, The Top in Sound. He traveled and installed sound systems at countless churches and schools across the country. He made life-long connections with Southern Gospel groups and designed sound systems for them to use. Pat also created and donated sound systems to charter churches in Africa. He is remembered a generous, kind, and genuine man. He was the ultimate Disney fanatic and cherished taking trips there with his children and visiting his granddaughter.

In addition to his wife Tammy, Pat is survived by his children with former wife Terry Topolsky - Patrick (Erin) Topolsky & granddaughter Brielle, Katie Topolsky; stepchildren, Matthew Neal; Caleb (Allison) Neal.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Ruth Topolsky; and brother, Michael Topolsky.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Oakland Christian Church, 2005 County Rd S. 1280 W., Russiaville, IN 46979. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the church, with Pastor Nick Jaymes officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Pat’s memory to We Care. Catherine “Cathy” Jo Smith

Catherine “Cathy” Jo Smith, 49, of Kokomo, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at her home. She was born on January 1, 1975, in Kokomo, the daughter of Gregory Curtis and Georgiana Maxine (Munsey) Lamb.

Cathy graduated from Kokomo High School in 1993. She then earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2012. Cathy worked in Human Resources for Ferrell Gas. She previously worked at Westminster Village Veterans Home and Salin Bank & Trust.

Cathy is survived by her children Christian and Xavier Smith; mother, Georgiana Lamb; sister, Heather (Dewayne) Rust; brother, Gregory (Nicole) Lamb; nieces and nephews, Sarah Paul, Samantha (James) Crews, Alexander Lamb, Andrew Lamb, and Nora Lamb; and great nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Jacob, Hayven, Kristopher, Kaidyn, Kamryn, Delilah, Everliegh, and Jaidyn.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Gregory Lamb, and grandmothers, Bonnie M. Wirtz and Nancy Lee Heltsley.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, with pastor Jason Grant officiating. John Rex DeWeese

John Rex DeWeese, 88 years old, of Kokomo, went to be with the Lord at 4:25 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. He was born in Kokomo, IN, on July 18, 1935, the son of the late John Charles and Eula Lee (Brown) DeWeese. On April 26, 1978, he married Suzanne (Cox), and she preceded him in death on October 25, 2022.

John was a graduate of Forest High School. He worked as a maintenance manager of numerous apartments in Southern California until his retirement. He had the best sense of humor and always looked for ways to make others laugh. John was fascinated by nature, gardening, bird watching, and mushroom hunting. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. He listened to Pastor Charlie and Pastor Toph from Abundant Life Church on a weekly basis. John enjoyed gambling, going out to eat at restaurants, watching the Kokomo Jackrabbits, going to car shows, visiting Highland Park, and traveling to Lake Tahoe with his wife, Sue. He adored his pet dog named Ginger. Tinkering, watching old Western TV shows, watching football (especially the Indianapolis Colts), and taking Sunday drives were some of his favorite past times.

John is survived by his daughters, Michelle Collins, Shellie (Joe) Hillis, Chevelle Heaton; stepchildren, Angela Yates, Jay Plaster; siblings, Gloria Young, Marilynn Haack, Marlene (Bob) Berry, Connie Moss; grandchildren, Brandon (Lehily Vieyra) Yates, Zach (Taylor) Graves, Brittanie (Dominique Small) Forsthoffer, Hannah Collins, Joe Hillis, Amber (Jake) Lipinski, Jeremy (Leslie) Hillis, Jason (Ashley) DeWeese, Joshua (Brooklyn) DeWeese, Jacob (Penny) DeWeese, Cara (Michael) Bergesen, Jessica (Blake) Granson, Desirae Heaton; 32 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; the mother of their children, Mary Gomez; sisters-in-law, Noreen (Ken) Cress, Pam Cataldo; brother-in-law, Dale (Stormy) Gainer; and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eula DeWeese; sons, Timothy J. DeWeese, Mark A. DeWeese; wife, Sue DeWeese; siblings, Roma (Don) Heaton, Carolyn (Richard) Parker, Sharon (Jim) Inman, Billy DeWeese; brothers-in-law, Jim Young, William Haack Jr., mother & father-in-law, Earl & Jeanette Cox Sr.; stepson, Billy Plaster; sister-in-law, Norma Conklin; and brother-in-law, Earl Cox Jr.
